Year 4 King & Obama Classes
Welcome to Year 4!
We are very excited to welcome the new Year 4 students. We are all ready for a new, exciting and busy term! On this page you will find:

Obama Class- Ms Bailey (Weds-Fri) and Mrs Birch (Mon and Tues)
King Class- Miss Wilkinson
Mrs Goddard is the Year 4 classroom assistant
PE
Your child will need to attend school wearing their PE kit on the following days:
Obama class' PE days are- Tuesday and Thursday
King class' PE days are- Tuesday and Wednesday
Reading
Reading a range of genres will highly impact your child's literacy skills and we are looking forward to diving into a variety of books with the children this year! Reading Records are regularly checked in school so please remind children to bring them in daily. We expect children to read 3x a week at home and have their reading record signed by an adult. Children can also use Reading Eggs to improve their word phonics, word recognition, fluency and comprehension skills.
Homework
Homework will be distributed to your child on a Thursday and is due in on the following Wednesday.
Homework will consist of:
- 1 piece of Maths work
- Spelling practise
- 1 comprehension activity
Children will be tested on their spellings on Thursdays.
