Food Bank Support
Food Bank Support
National statistics show that far more families are using foodbanks than ever before and they provide a key service and support to more and more families across the country, especially now under the cost of living crisis we are all living through.
St Mary's Farnham Royal 'Food Share' project
At key times of the year SMFR ask for donations and distribute food parcels from the school and wider community. These help support families that request this little extra help. If you would like to receive a parcel then please do let us know.
SMFR's partnership with the Slough Food Bank
St Mary's Farnham Royal also works in partnership with the Slough Food Bank to support families throughout the year. We at school are able to issue Food Bank vouchers and Fuel vouchers (up to 4 per year) to families within the school community. These can be vital at those key times to ensure we are supported when we need the help most.
There are several different distribution centers across Slough that food can be collected from on different days of the week. Fuel vouchers are obtained once you have received a food parcel and these are emailed out later that week. Depending on the family, they can be between £40 and £60.
If you would like a Food Bank Voucher then all you need to do is contact Mr Farmer to arrange this. This support can be vital so please do ask as the support is there when you need it.
